Dr. Jody Oomen-Early 

Dr. Jody Oomen-Early, PI and Program Director, is an Assistant Professor of Health Studies at Texas Woman's University. Dr. Oomen-Early has a passion for women's health and for eliminating health disparities. Inspired by family and friends who have battled breast cancer, Dr. Oomen-Early is dedicated to spreading the message of early detection and helping women get the screening, follow up, and social support they need to lead healthy lives!

Ms. Priyanka Lalwani

Ms. Priyanka Lalwani, Co-PI and Co-Director, is currently the Health Education Coordinator at Texas Woman's University. Ms. Lalwani's journey into breast health and community outreach began in her homeland of India, where she worked as a dentist. Seeking to continue her education and pursue her interest in community and global health, Priyanka was led to Texas, where she earned her Masters in Health Studies at Texas Woman's University. Priyanka also serves as adjunct instructor of Women's Health at TWU.

Ivory Allen-Johnson

Ivory  Allen-Johnson is a senior in Health Studies and a mother of two. Ivory is excited about health education and about empowering women to improve their quality of life. “ My ultimate goal is to become a health educator, philanthropist and motivational speaker, encouraging women to take charge and take action against diseases and disparities in their community. I strongly believe that knowledge is power and education is freedom.”

Rejina Butler

Rejina is a senior in Health Studies who would like to use the knowledge and skills she's gained in the program to open her own business and become a certified public speaker.

Rejina writes, " I feel as a TWU student, I have been truly blessed by this opportunity to gain experience and participate in  a program that helps to save lives! "
