Meet Our Team

Dr. Jody Oomen-Early, PI and Program Director, is an Assistant Professor of Health Studies at Texas Woman's University. Dr. Oomen-Early has a passion for women's health and for eliminating health disparities. Inspired by family and friends who have battled breast cancer, Dr. Oomen-Early is dedicated to spreading the message of early detection and helping women get the screening, follow up, and social support they need to lead healthy lives!
Ms. Priyanka Lalwani, Co-PI and Co-Director, is currently the Health Education Coordinator at Texas Woman's University. Ms. Lalwani's journey into breast health and community outreach began in her homeland of India, where she worked as a dentist. Seeking to continue her education and pursue her interest in community and global health, Priyanka was led to Texas, where she earned her Masters in Health Studies at Texas Woman's University. Priyanka also serves as adjunct instructor of Women's Health at TWU.
Mrs. Ivory Allen-Johnson is a senior in Health Studies and a mother of two. Ivory is excited about health education and about empowering women to improve their quality of life. “ My ultimate goal is to become a health educator, philanthropist and motivational speaker, encouraging women to take charge and take action against diseases and disparities in their community. I strongly believe that knowledge is power and education is freedom.”

Mrs. Cheryl Rogers serves as the Pioneer Breast Health communications and media coordinator for the program. Cheryl writes, "Through online education and electronic media we can increase breast health knowledge, improve self-efficacy in the community,expand our reach in Denton County and ultimately save lives".
Ms. Erin Stewart is a senior in Health Studies and has worked at the corporate level for 9 years. Erin's parents are originally from
Europe which inspired her to take a profound interest in cultural community and global health education. "I am dedicating my
professional life to improving health education and cancer awareness within my community and abroad."
